PHP Developer

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Developer to join an ambitious SaaS start-up. The right candidate will have the opportunity to establish themselves as a key player within the business. You will be working alongside another developer, assisting them with the technical aspects of existing projects and the development of new modules, functionality, as well as the possibility of leading new projects.

Key responsibilities

Day to day development of system enhancements to satisfy demanding business requirements.

Handle support queries from end-users and resolving to client satisfaction.

Rewriting legacy code to modern coding standards.

Potentially leading new development projects when confident to do so.

Technical skills

Write and test PHP in an object-oriented style.

SQL and MySQL both preferred, but will accept experience with only one.

HTML/CSS/Javascript/jQuery/Bootstrap knowledge.

Ability to work with legacy code with limited documentation.

Experience with CodeIgniter, AWS, CraftCMS, GIT, PWA all an advantage.
