Our client, a fast-growing global pharmaceutical company with offices in the UK, and globally is currently looking for an ambitious Associate Project Manager to join its team.

You must be commutable to the client’s Basildon HQ, as the team is working in the office a couple of times per week with the rest of the working week spent at home.

Reporting to the Projects Department Manager you will support daily project related activities and build relationships with partner companies. 

The Associate Project Manager must have a degree, take a logical approach to their work, and have the ability to take on responsibility with the team’s portfolio of internal and external projects within the business.

To be considered for the Associate Project Manager role you have the capacity to learn and be happy to work within a team environment. You will also need to

  • Have a background in and have attained an excellent project management skill set 
  • Be an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Be educated to degree level education with further training or qualifications in project management being extremely advantageous
  • Have the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders    
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and the same time
  • Be an excellent problem solver and have the ability to remove barriers, and collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Willing and able to travel within and outside the UK, dependent on the project on a very ad-hoc basis

You will be involved in carrying out daily project related activities including project timelines, planning, and tracking project plan, co-ordination with internal and external colleagues. You will also be tasked with

  • Undertaking post-transition co-ordination and project management of regulatory and technical projects
  • Designing a project plan bridging technical and regulatory functions in MS Excel and / or GanttPro
  • Establishing and maintain weekly reporting, by setting up regular internal and external team meetings, capturing minutes, agreed actions, updating teams and senior management
  • Identifying potential project problems, risks, mitigate contingencies and implement corrective actions
  • Organising travel for the project team
  • Co-ordinating with technical, regulatory, artwork, supply chain and commercial teams to ensure product transitions in each market are on schedule, ensuring that there is resource for new projects, and to help co-ordinate project requirements
  • Promoting continuous improvement and recommending or implementing process improvements where possible
